SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Engine Yard, the leader in Ruby on Rails automation and management technologies, today announced that the Rails Performance in the Cloud Roadshow, taking place from October 26 to November 2 in Boston, Chicago, Austin, Los Angeles, and Seattle, has seen a high level of interest, with full capacity at two locations (Boston and Seattle).
The Rails Performance in the Cloud Roadshow will include sessions led by Engine Yard and technology partners New Relic, Amazon Web Services, CVSDude, and SOASTA. The free event will be hosted in five cities across the U.S. to provide greater opportunities for development firms and businesses to learn techniques for building, maintaining, and monitoring high-performance Rails applications in the cloud.
"The adoption of Rails as a powerful, intuitive framework is exploding," said Tom Mornini, CTO and Co-founder of Engine Yard. "We've put together the Roadshow to provide a forum that allows developers and businesses to explore how to take advantage of the Cloud and reach a new level of agility and performance."
The Rails Performance in the Cloud Roadshow speakers will address topics that include cloud infrastructure basics, the drivers of application performance, using the cloud to achieve agile deployment and how to reach the magical "1 second" page load time. Approximately half of registered attendees are at the Director Level or above.
"Application performance can often make or break the customer experience," said Steve Hudson, Application Performance Engineer at New Relic. "Many factors can influence performance, so it's important that development teams have solutions that allow them to measure and react quickly to performance issues at all levels. This will be a key area of focus at the Rails Performance in the Cloud Roadshow."
Access to the Rails Performance in the Cloud Roadshow is free with registration. For more information, including the event agenda, visit www.railsroadshow.com. Tickets are available now (separate registration for each city is required).
