Asevotech Names New Director of Business Development & Sales

TAMPA, Fla., May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Asevotech, a custom software development firm, recently announced Bill Foresman as their new Director of Business Development and Sales. Mr. Foresman is responsible for many tasks such as generating recurring revenues for the business. However, his principal involvement at Asevotech will be launching the division of LaserFiche, a document management system.

Prior to coming to Asevotech, Mr. Foresman built a colorful history in IT for himself. While still attending Florida State University, Foresman and a fellow student started his first company named CyberSolutions. As he explains, getting people involved in the web at the time was rather difficult but he succeeded where others failed in the early days.

"The Internet was relatively new at that time," states Foresman. "Most of the sales process was explaining what the Internet was to customers. But the business grew quickly and within the first year, CyberSolutions had over 15 clients, which at the time was rather large. As a result, other media started to take notice of the Internet and CyberSolutions was approached by a conglomerate of radio stations to build an online community, which gave birth to TalStar Communications."

Foresman says TalStar Communications grew quickly and the company evolved into YourVillage.com, which had online communities in 17 cities in Florida. Clearly ahead of its time, YourVillage became the marketing engine that grew into one of the largest Internet service providers in North Florida. As the "Dot com" phase of the Internet began to fade, Foresman was recruited to lead a team of developers for ESI Services, LLC, a Unisys mainframe-programming environment that crossed over .Net and ColdFusion web application development.

"While managing the development team for ESI it was determined that a solid web application service provider needed to be found to host the applications ESI built for clients," Foresman says. "The level of service that was required led me to open my own hosting company named Matrosity Hosting." Foresman adds that a strong emphasis on customer service has helped Matrosity Hosting retain 96% of its customers on an annual basis while adding an additional 13% each year.

Today, Foresman starts the next chapter of his career, bringing his knowledge and experience to help the sales and development departments of Asevotech. As a LaserFiche VAR (value added reseller), Asevotech is now substantially invested into selling a web-based version of their document management system. The company is sure that with his experience, Foresman is just the man for the job. To learn more about Asevotech you can visit them on the web at http://www.asevotech.com/.

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...
