Growth by Leveraging Adobe Scene7

Hosted Rich-Media Platform

Adobe announced that House of Fraser, a premium U.K. department store group with 62 locations across the U.K. and Ireland, has achieved higher conversion rates, increased average order size and greater customer retention with the Adobe® Scene7® hosted rich-media platform.

Despite a down economy, House of Fraser has been able to grow an already profitable business through e-commerce and cross-channel merchandising, using Adobe Scene7 eCatalogs, Dynamic Imaging and Media Portal technologies.

“We recognized that we needed to support our in-house merchants with the best functionality and tools to accomplish our growth objectives,” said Peter Callaway, director of e-commerce, House of Fraser. “Adobe Scene7 is helping us to engage new customers and to meet our challenging revenue targets.”

The Scene7 platform has been a pivotal tool in helping House of Fraser deploy a rich visual Web site that has led to increased customer satisfaction. In addition, it has enabled House of Fraser to implement advanced Web 2.0 features, which has positioned them as an industry leader. These features include Dynamic Imaging to instantly render all product images in different sizes; Detailed product zoom; Templating for highlighting critical product information; eCatalogs for bringing print materials to the Web; and Media Portal to make assets available to internal users as well as key vendors and press.
